To address issues with broken air conditioning in on-campus housing at UCSD, students have two primary methods for submitting maintenance requests.
Online Submission Students can utilize the HDH Fix It Request form available on the HDH website to submit a routine service ticket. This is the preferred method for non-urgent issues and allows for detailed descriptions of the problem.
Immediate Assistance For urgent matters or immediate assistance, students can call the Fix It Hotline at (858) 534-2600. This is particularly useful for emergencies, such as a total loss of air conditioning during extreme heat.
In-Person Help If students require in-person assistance or if the issue arises after hours, they should visit the Hall Service Center at their residence hall or contact the Resident Advisor (RA) on duty for urgent needs.
Important Information When filing a request, students must provide their college name, building name/number, and suite or apartment number. Non-urgent requests typically receive a follow-up within two to seven business days, while emergencies may be prioritized accordingly.
