My student is a UCSD grad student and has purchased parking permits several times by billing them to their student account, but the charges never appear in TritonPay. Has anyone experienced this, and is there a different place parking permit charges show up or a different payment portal they should be checking?
It is not uncommon for UCSD students to experience issues with parking permit charges not appearing in TritonPay, particularly due to server communication delays or system downtime at the beginning of a quarter.
Where to Check for Charges
Students should verify their permit status and any outstanding balance directly on the Transportation Services Portal. Additionally, they can call (858) 534-4223 for assistance. If the charges are still not visible, submitting a ticket through the Student Support Portal to Student Financial Solutions (SFS) may help resolve the issue.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Ensure you are checking the "Account Details" section of TritonPay, as the "Summary" balance may show errors due to sync issues.
- Clear your browser data or try a different browser if TritonPay is not loading correctly.
- Wait and refresh the page, as some students report that charges may reappear after a short time.
For certain types of permits, students may need to use the ParkMobile app instead of TritonPay. For further assistance, visiting the TritonPay Office in person at the Student Services Center, Suite 170, may provide additional options for troubleshooting or payment methods.
