Whats the vendor fair? should my student be going to it or not?
The UC San Diego Vendor Fair is a tri-annual event held on Library Walk where local small businesses and crafters showcase and sell a variety of merchandise, including clothing, jewelry, artwork, and beauty products. This fair not only provides students with an opportunity to discover unique items but also fosters a sense of community on campus.
Event Details
- Location: Library Walk, stretching from Geisel Library toward Gilman Drive.
- Admission: Free and open to all students and the general public.
- Schedule: Upcoming fairs are scheduled for January 26th – 30th, 2026, and April 20th – 24th, 2026.
Students are encouraged to attend to:
- Support local businesses.
- Engage with peers and the campus community.
- Enjoy a popular social and shopping experience during Week 4 of each quarter.
Students can participate as shoppers or apply to be vendors if they have their own small business. Vendors must meet specific requirements, including obtaining a California Seller's Permit and proof of insurance.
