My student hasn’t heard anything from the UCLA Law Fellows program at all. They’ve reached out multiple times to ask about the status of their application, but haven’t gotten a response. We also checked spam/junk folders and still nothing. Has anyone else run into this, or know the typical timeline for hearing back?
It is not uncommon for applicants to experience delays in communication from the UCLA Law Fellows program, especially during peak application periods. Your student should anticipate receiving notifications about their application status between December and early January, with the current cycle possibly extending notifications until January 10, 2026, due to an unprecedented number of applications.
Typical Timeline
- Initial Review: Decisions are made on a rolling basis as applications are processed.
- Standard Notification: Applicants usually receive notifications by early January, as the program typically begins in late January.
If your student has not received any updates by mid-January, it is advisable to reach out directly to the Academic Outreach Resource Center for assistance. They can contact:
- Email: outreach@law.ucla.edu
- Phone: 310-794-4157
- Point of Contact: Leo Trujillo-Cox (Executive Director) or Amanda Smith (Assistant Director)
