Whats the deal with commuter permits for winter quarter?

For the Winter 2026 quarter, UCLA provides several parking permit options tailored for commuter students, effective from January 1 to March 22, 2026.

Available Commuter Permits

Commuter Student Parking: $324.03 per quarter.
Carpool Permits: Discounted rates are available:
2-Person Carpool: $272.18/quarter.
3-Person Carpool: $168.50/quarter.
4-Person Carpool: $100.45/quarter.
Night and Weekend Permit: $187.94 per quarter (valid 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. weekdays and all day weekends).
Daily Student Parking: Currently $7.28/day, but availability will be significantly limited starting January 1, 2026.

Application Process

Undergraduate and non-professional graduate students must apply between November 3 and 23, 2025. If you miss this window, check for remaining availability or contact UCLA Transportation. To apply:

Log in to the Bruin ePermit Portal using your UCLA Logon ID.
Select "Add/Edit Student Application" for quarterly permits.

Hi May daughter missed her UC Shape training and now they put a hold on her enrollment. The SHAPE office said it's an automatic update and there is nothing they can do to expedite it. The regsitrar says there is nothing they can do either. She will miss her window of enrollment. Is there anyone else who can help?
