Can financial aid cover all graduation related expenses (regalia, diploma, etc)?
While UCLA's financial aid does not specifically allocate funds for graduation expenses, it can assist in covering some related costs through standard aid packages and budget adjustments.
Diploma Fees
Your original diploma fee is included in your tuition, but additional services like expedited delivery or duplicate diplomas may incur extra charges that are typically not covered by financial aid.
Regalia (Cap & Gown)
Financial aid is calculated based on a Cost of Attendance (COA) budget, which includes categories for personal expenses and books/supplies. Students can utilize leftover funds from these categories to purchase regalia from the UCLA Store.
Budget Increases
If graduation costs exceed your financial aid package, you may submit a Budget Increase Request to the Financial Aid Office, which could increase your loan eligibility to cover these documented expenses. For more information, visit the Budget Increase Request page.
