My daughter says they have an advising requiremen’ before they can enroll… is that a specific UCLA college thing (Engineering), and where do you actually see what appointment they need?? Thank youuu
At UCLA's Samueli School of Engineering, advising is mandatory for students both at the start of their academic journey and annually thereafter.
Advising Requirements New undergraduate students must have their course of study approved by an academic counselor during New Student Orientation. Additionally, engineering students are required to meet with their assigned faculty advisor at least once every academic year to avoid registration holds.
Scheduling Appointments Students can schedule 1-on-1 advising sessions through the MyUCLA portal. Here’s how:
- Log into MyUCLA.
- Navigate to the ACADEMICS tab.
- Select the option for appointments.
