Benefits of Being an RA

- Housing Perk: RAs usually have a private single room on campus.
- Professional Development: The role includes training in leadership, peer counseling, and crisis management.
- Networking Opportunities: RAs collaborate closely with Faculty-in-Residence and Residential Community Directors, enhancing their campus connections.
Freshmen at SMU are not eligible to become RAs. To apply, students must:
- Complete at least one semester at SMU.
- Be at least a sophomore (second-year student).
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
