If they need a quiet space for a Zoom interview, are there rooms in Fondren that are specifically meant for video calls or is it just reserve any room
If you need a quiet space for a Zoom interview, Fondren Library offers general study rooms that can be reserved for virtual meetings. While there are no rooms specifically meant for video calls, all study rooms are suitable for this use.
Room Reservation
- You can reserve rooms through the SMU Libraries LibCal website up to 14 days in advance, for a maximum of 4 hours per day in 2-hour increments.
- It is advisable to choose a room on the 4th floor, which is the quietest area in the library, to minimize background noise during your interview.
- Generally, you will need to provide your own technology, such as a computer, webcam, and headphones. Some rooms may have built-in technology available for use, but be sure to follow the provided guidelines and avoid unplugging any equipment.
