Are uniforms required?
Mater Dei High School mandates that students wear uniforms as part of its dress code policy. The specific requirements include:
- Pants: Solid tan or khaki dress pants, without cargo pockets or denim.
- Shirts: Approved polo or oxford shirts featuring the school monogram/logo in designated colors such as red, white, black, yellow, or navy blue.
- Outerwear: Only school-approved sweaters, sweatshirts, or jackets with the school logo are permitted.
- Footwear: Students must wear dress shoes in solid black, tan, or brown; athletic shoes, sandals, and boots are generally not allowed unless a medical note is provided.
- Grooming Standards: The dress code also includes guidelines on grooming, such as hair color and style, as well as restrictions on certain jewelry, tattoos, and piercings.
