Want to get my son into a sport. Any sport to be honest, are there tryouts or how does it usually go? Thank you!
If you are looking to get your son involved in sports at Claire Lilienthal Elementary, the options vary significantly based on his grade level.
Elementary Sports (Grades K–5)
For students in grades K–5, there is no formal school-run sports program. Instead, sports activities are generally organized by parents and may include basic skill development and teamwork rather than competitive play. Tryouts are uncommon, and announcements for these teams are typically communicated through classroom memos or the school's Wednesday Bulletin.
Middle School Sports (Grades 6–8)
In contrast, middle school students have access to several district-wide sports, including:
- Baseball
- Basketball
- Soccer
- Softball
- Track and Field
- Volleyball
