Can we enroll in the hot lunch program mid year or no?
At Huntington Seacliff Elementary, as part of the California Universal Meals Program, all students are eligible to receive free breakfast and lunch every school day, regardless of income. This means that there is no formal enrollment process required to participate in the hot lunch program, allowing students to join at any time during the school year.
How to Participate
- Daily Request: Students simply need to inform their teacher during morning attendance if they wish to have a school lunch that day.
- Eligibility: All enrolled students automatically qualify for these no-charge meals.
While meals are free, families are encouraged to complete a School Funding Form (Meal Application) to help the district secure funding for academic programs. This form can be completed online at the Huntington Beach City School District Nutrition Services website. For any specific questions, you can contact the HBCSD Food and Nutrition Services team at (714) 378-2076.
