Does harvard-westlake offer any kind of financial aid? Thank you
Harvard-Westlake provides a comprehensive need-based financial aid program aimed at supporting families in affording tuition and related costs. Approximately 20% of the student body benefits from this aid, and the school is committed to meeting 100% of demonstrated financial need for enrolled students.
Key Features of Financial Aid
- Need-Based Only: Financial aid is exclusively based on a family's financial situation; no merit or athletic scholarships are offered.
- Comprehensive Coverage: Aid includes not just tuition but also covers books, course materials, required athletic gear, school-related trips, and a cafeteria account.
- January 16, 2026: Deadline for new applicant families to submit financial aid applications (aligned with the admission deadline).
- March 13, 2026: Admission and financial aid decisions will be posted online at 5:00 p.m. PT.
Families must complete a separate financial aid application through the Clarity platform alongside their admission application. Documentation, including tax forms, must be submitted via this platform. Additionally, families applying for financial aid may qualify for a waiver of the standard admission application fee. Note that aid is typically not awarded to families who do not apply at the time of admission, except in cases of unforeseen financial reversals after enrollment.
