How can I sign my child up for peer tutoring? He's super strong in english but has a hard time in math
Harvard-Westlake offers a robust peer tutoring program that can assist your child, particularly in math, while leveraging his strengths in English.
Peer Tutoring Options
- Drop-In Help: Students can visit the Learning Center during lunch or conference time for immediate assistance without an appointment.
- Scheduled Appointments: For guaranteed one-on-one sessions, students can request a specific time by visiting the Learning Center or contacting staff members.
In addition to general peer tutoring, the school provides a dedicated Math Lab run by Dr. Josh Helston, which is available Monday through Friday from 3:15 to 4:00 p.m. in Chalmers 311. This can be particularly beneficial for your child who is struggling in math.
