The Gold Room is situated within the Marion Knott Studios at Dodge College of Film and Media Arts and boasts an extensive inventory of over 10,000 pieces of equipment, including high-end cameras like the Arri Alexa and Sony F65, sound recorders, and grip and electric gear.
Steps to Rent Gear
To rent equipment, students must follow these steps:
- Eligibility: Gear is available only for officially sanctioned class projects.
- Online Reservation: Log in to the Dodge Student Portal to access the online reservation system and complete the Goldroom Request Form.
- Production Approval: Ensure that your project has the necessary approvals, including filming permits if shooting on campus.
- Checkout and Inspection: Pick up the gear at the scheduled time and inspect all equipment before leaving.
- Return: Return all equipment by the designated deadline to avoid fines. Late returns may block future reservations until resolved.
